Talk to someone who will listen.
Balsam connects you with a listener for a private voice or video call, whenever you need one. No appointment, no waiting room, no real name required.

How it works
Four screens, and you’re talking to a person. Everything happens inside the app.
- Create an account. Sign up with your phone number or email. Your profile name is yours to choose — listeners never see your number.
- Find a listener. Browse by topic and by the language you want to speak. Every listener has reviews from people who called before you.
- Call or message. Start a voice call, a video call, or a chat. Chat is free for the first few minutes; calls are paid for with coins.
- Leave a review. Rate the call afterwards. It’s what helps the next person choose well.
What Balsam is for
- Getting it off your chest The thing you’ve been carrying around and haven’t said out loud to anyone yet.
- Talking at 2am Listeners are online at different hours and in different countries. Someone is usually awake.
- Speaking your own language Filter listeners by the languages they speak, in Arabic or in English.
- Staying anonymous Choose what your profile shows. You never have to give a listener your real name.
Becoming a listener
Listeners are the other half of Balsam. If you’re patient, and people tend to tell you things, you can apply from inside the app: choose the topics and languages you’re confident with, and submit your profile for review. Approved listeners earn coins for the calls they take and withdraw their earnings once they pass the minimum balance.
Balsam is not a medical service. Our listeners are not doctors or licensed therapists, and Balsam is not a crisis line. If you are in danger or facing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
